The hot mess that is the Whitney Houston comeback tour has suffered another setback, adding more credibility to rumors that the diva is turning to cocaine and other drugs while on the road.
The AP reports Wednesday that Whitney Houston has postponed more concert dates (full article below) at the same time a celebrity weekly features an interview alleging she’s doing drugs again.
In Touch interviewed someone who says Whitney showed up a club and snorted white powder from a baggie.

In Touch can reveal shocking claims from onlookers at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in LA who were surprised on March 10 when the singer walked into the bar, appearing disheveled and out of it. According to eyewitness Marlon David, Whitney was with her ex-husband, Bobby Brown, and she seemed oblivious to who might be watching when she began screaming, “I want a f***in’ drink!” followed by expletives. While Whitney’s rep vehemently denies that she’s using drugs, David, who was sitting just a table away from Whitney and Bobby, tells In Touch exclusively: “I saw her pull a plastic bag out, put a folded bill to her nose and discreetly snort a line from it of what to me certainly looked like cocaine. She’s extremely thin and looks like a disaster. She’s a hot mess.”

NEW YORK – Whitney Houston has again pushed back the European leg of her first tour in years on the advice of doctors who are encouraging her to take time to recover from a respiratory illness, according to a statement issued Wednesday.
The statement noted she delayed the tour with “great disappointment.”
Houston, one of pop’s all-time best-selling artists, had been on a hiatus from music as she battled drug addiction and ended a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown. But with her new CD, “I Look to You,” she returned on the top of the charts and declared herself healthy and free from substance abuse.
The superstar has been on a world tour to promote the CD, which has sold more than 1 million copies in the United States alone.
However, the tour has been troubled; performances in Australia and elsewhere were negatively received by some fans and critics, who complained Houston did not showcase the majestic voice she is known for.
Video snippets of her performances showed Houston sweating and struggling to hit notes, leading some to wonder about her health.
In February, her representative issued a statement denying any troubles, saying, “Whitney is in great health and having a terrific time on her tour and with her fans.”
Houston had already postponed the European kickoff, originally scheduled for Tuesday in Paris, because of illness. A statement from a representative said doctors advised Houston to reschedule concerts Thursday and Friday in Manchester, England, and a Sunday performance in Glasgow, Scotland.
All dates are being rescheduled, and the 46-year-old singer’s tour is now supposed to start next Tuesday in Birmingham, England.
“Doctors visited Whitney late last night in Paris and confirmed that she was suffering from an upper respiratory infection,” the statement read. “Upon medical advice Whitney has been advised that she cannot perform to allow her time to recover.”
“Respiratory illness” seems to be the new “exhaustion.” At this point, the consistency of the rumors, and the increasing number of eyewitnesses, along with The Enquirer’s recent story about Whitney’s family begging her to go to rehab, make things look pretty bad for Whitney right now. I was really hoping she was going to come out swinging for the fences with the new CD and the tour, but so far, I am not believing that Whitney is clean. Just say no, Whitney! And get well soon.

I don’t know if she’s on drugs but I have a hard time believing that she was yelling and doing drugs in public yet there’s only one witness and the story comes out weeks after it happened.
This is going to kill her one day. She will never reach the age of 50 if she keeps it up.
I was really rooting for her with this comeback too. Sadly, I think smoking/inhaling the crack has irrevocably damaged her voice and there’s no coming back from it.
I think she knows that her talent is gone and she is continuing to use now that there’s no incentive (what was billed as the comeback the world was waiting for) for her to stay clean, IMHO.

I read earlier today that there was a problem with her “nose and throat,” which I guess that could be an upper respiratory infection. It could also be the snort and drip from coke or crystal, so whatever, I guess.
I wrote before that I thought it was too soon for her to embark on her “comeback tour” and I stand by that remark. I don’t think she was strong enough physically nor was she far along enough in her recovery to endure the rigours of a tour.
“I want a f**kin’ drink!” ROFLMAO! That is going to be my new catch phrase when I go out with my friends this weekend. I don’t drink but still… awesome to say!
It is sad when Bobby is actually looking slightly more sane than her. This like KFed and Britney all over again. When we thought that KFed was the one who was sending her nuts, when really she was nuts all along, he was just putting up with it lol!
And my Auntie went and saw her in Sydney and said her voice is whacked up. She should just retired. My Auntie said she couldn’t hit the notes, constantly had breaks and she was basically just falling over herself on the stage. Not good.
On drugs AGAIN or on drugs STILL? I doubt she was ever truly sober.

Never liked her music, but I remember watching her on TV as a kid, thinking she must be the most beautiful person ever.

She kind of breaks my heart. I grew up listening to her when she first really hit it big, and her voice was amazing. Such a waste, such a shame. I hope her daughter has seen everything her parents have done to themselves and somehow aims her life in a different direction.
Again? Surely you mean still. I don’t know if she was doing crack during her recent promotional rounds, but I think like Britney, that she’s been heavily medicated to allow her to even get this far. Her voice has been shot for several years now, but she needs to make money and what else can she do? It’s a vicious cycle.
Sometimes when people become too successful too young they seem to take their blessings for granted. It just breaks my heart that Whitney Houston is having so many problems. If she can’t handle the pressure, she should just retire and stop trying to relive the past. At the rate she’s going, her future does not look good.

Geez give the woman a break. It’s almost as if the media and the public WANTS her to slide back to drugs so they can say I told you so. This is a human being. If she performs whens she’s not well you give her crap. If she cancels because she’s sick you give her crap. If she performs well (which she has on this tour) you say nothing. The consistency that she used to display is not there, true but there have been flashes of brilliance that show that the voice is still there. Saw her in an airport and she was kind and gracious to the fans and the pres. And yes beautiful still. Yet every picture I saw from the press of that airport visit made her look like she shouldn’t have even been walking. People have got to start using their common sense and realize the media is not reporting the truth that they know, but in reality, just starting and sustaining rumors.

Jerome i totally agree with you.some times the press try hard to make things look like hell.Drugs, she did use n like we know, she might be tempted to use again.she has tried n i pray God help her through.I have been a fan of Whitney and will always be.I wish her the best and above all i pray she gets to feel it in her that a lot of her fans n admirers pray she does not let us down.
I Just hope and pray Whitney has laryngitis(sp?) as stated. God gave her a Beautiful Voice and she seemed to be back on tract coming back. I continue to pray for her to get well soon.

I hope you get to read this. I’m sorry your in harms way. You problem could be that you turned away from God. You come from a very religious family that prays for you constantly. Accept there prayers and accept God again. You have so much to live for such as a beautiful daughter who misses her Mom. She needs you in her life. The high you get from coke doesn’t last. Your problems are still going to be there when you come down. The high your really looking for comes from loving God. He still loves you no matter what. You will get your voice back when you return his love. Don’t distroy what he gave you. Look up not down.

Whatever!! We will never know whats really going on with Whitney, all the drugs fucked up her voice, she is one of my favorite singers. Whitney needs to stop cancelling so many concerts, thats a bad wrap on her and surely shows that she is getting all wired up again. I really had a lot of faith in her latest comeback CD. I bought it and I’ve been playing it ever since. She still has that fantastic voice, I can’t believe she’s going to ruin her life with drugs.

If there was some way Whitney could read this little bit of advice I would like to tell her stop look and listen. We loved and love her for her songs, hate what she had to go through and was happy to see her strive to come out. I don’t like that she is doing concert and making public appearances sing. Who ever is promoting her and backing her in anyway is wrong. She is making it hard for us to remember the old Whitney because she is messing up so bad and it’s embarrassment to watch.
