Britain's The Mirror is reporting that Gwyenth Paltrow wants plastic surgery to repair her post-baby figure. They claim that she had a talk with friends in which she admitted to not being pleased with her body and asking about surgical options. While I think comparison photographs make it clear that Gwyneth has had plastic surgery on her face, including a nose job and eye lift, I doubt this conversation ever took place. I've caught the British tabloids making up shit wholesale (and I'm sure the American rags do it too, the Brits are just more obvious) and this sounds like a fabricated story:
Then she quizzed one of them about surgery while they were lunching at North London’s trendy Lord Stanley pub.
And, in true American style, her chum recommended she have the op in New York so she wouldn’t be pictured going to hospital.
Gwyneth, who gave birth to son Moses by caesarean in April, also confessed she wasn’t sure about having any more children.
She told her friends she loved being a mum. But when they asked if she planned to have more children she replied: “I don’t think so.”
The article goes on to say that Gwyneth confessed that her two year-old daughter, Apple, is jealous of newborn Moses.
It's possible that one of her friends blabbed about the conversation or that a waiter overheard them, but I think that the Mirror knew that Gwyneth dined with American friends at a particular restaurant and filled in the details. She looks great, but she's not as thin as she normally is and guessing that she's not happy with her body isn't that much of a stretch.
Here are recent pictures of Gwyneth that I read were taken outside of a London gym. Hot Momma Drama asks if she could be pregnant, but it just looks like she's wearing an unflattering top.
One of Gwyneth's co-stars in the London stage production of "Proof" said that she had some bizarre practices backstage.
Stewart recalls, "Gwyneth is lovely but she is, in the nicest sense, in another world.
"Personal chefs prepared her macrobiotic food but the food was delicious -- even brownies with no chocolate!
"She practiced yoga so she was incredibly flexible. I didn't have to do that but we did have a cast 'group hug' every night. It is so not British, but it was OK."
It sounds pretty normal to do yoga if that's your thing, but a personal chef at a theatre production? I don't know. Couldn't she have her macrobiotic meals delivered?
Group hugs are kind of strange, but not damning. I usually look at the crap Gwyneth says to call her pretentious. Reader Millie has a friend who is an acquaintance of Paltrow's and says she's really nice, though.
WWTDD really dislikes Gwyneth, and is quick to point out that she has no higher-level education and got her early work from family friends:

In a charity auction for The Prince's Trust, a single yoga lesson with Gwyneth Paltrow went for £30,000, nearly $56,000 USD:
The Hollywood actress, 33, was stunned when told the amount.
The mum of Apple, two, and Moses, born last month, donated her time for a charity auction in aid of The Prince's Trust 30th anniversary.
Gwyneth... said: "Someone's spent a great deal of money on it so I'm going to have to really come up with an excellent plan." But she added: "Unfortunately I can't do it in the nude or anything to make it really exceptional but I will try and come up with a good plan for a yoga lesson."
We don't like Gwyneth much because she seems quite snotty, but reader Millie points out that she is super-nice to a friend of hers. Angelika also bashed us for bitching about Gwyneth's night out so soon after her second child was born.
Regardless it's nice that she's donating her time to a worthy cause. Gwyneth's one hour of time is worth much more than $56,000. She made $3.6 million for a three-minute cameo in the film Infamous, or $1.2 million per minute.

I don't like Gwyneth Paltrow because she's pretentious, so take my criticism or what it is - but why is she going out at night already? She just had a baby not even three weeks ago. Maybe she only popped out for a couple of hours, but newborns need to nurse about every 2-3 hours at that age. She could have pumped or he could be on formula, not that there's anything wrong with that. If she's nursing you're not supposed to introduce a bottle until they're a month old, though.
Yes, it's really snarky to criticize her for getting some time alone, but you know, she's so snotty and ungrateful that she deserves it.

Gwyneth Paltrow's dad, Bruce Paltrow, died of cancer in October, 2002. The actress was heartbroken at the loss of her father, but soon found some comfort in the arms of her future husband, Chris Martin. It recently came out that Bruce was suffering in his final months, and couldn't swallow to drink or eat while he was directing the film "Duets," which starred Gwyneth. She kept her brave father's condition a secret, as he did not want to worry the cast or crew:
But the dedicated dad "did not want people to know the pain he was in... It was just excruciating."
Danner also said that her late husband bravely tried to advise other cancer sufferers in the months before he lost his life. Danner says, "The doctors loved him. He would speak to patients across the country about what to expect. He became a very good campaigner for stopping smoking."
"When he saw friends smoking, he would show them his big scar and say, 'You want to look like this in 20 years?'"
That's sad news about her father and we'll to refrain from making fun of the pretentious actress in this post.
Paltrow gave birth to her second child, a boy named Mortimer Moses, two weeks ago, and looks like she's going out for a pedicure in these pictures taken yesterday in New York.

Little Moses will make his debut alongside Barron Trump in the upcoming issue of People Magazine. Celebrities should wait a little while to release their baby's pictures in order to drive up the bidding and let their little ones grow into their faces. We're just saying.
It's hard to tell if little Moses has a trace of the fetal alcohol syndrome with the terrible face he's pulling, but maybe that's for the best.

The smiling actress cradled the six-day-old baby as they left New York's private Mount Sinai Hospital at the weekend.
But little Moses ??" wearing a pair of cute blue bootees and snuggled in a white shawl - slept through it all.
Gwyneth, 33, and husband Chris Martin, below, gave the tot his unusual name after the title of a love song the Coldplay frontman wrote about her. It includes the line: "Like Moses had power over the sea, so you've got power over me."
It's hard to see the baby, but since it's the first known picture of him we thought you'd like to have a peek.

We read an unsourced rumor in the popbitch e-mail newsletter that Gwyneth Paltrow was tired of not being able to get drunk and had a C-section scheduled for this weekend. It looks like the rumor may have been true as Perez Hilton reports that Paltrow's child is now on the outside.
We're waiting to hear confirmation on the poor kid's name.
Update: The boy's name is Moses. That's not as bad as it could have been.

Paltrow is famous for her rigorous macrobiotic diet, although she altered it the last time she was pregnant, with her daughter, Apple. Some experts recommend a little Guinness for expecting mothers, because of the brew's high iron content.
Her rep confirmed she drank the alcoholic beverage, but said she ate only cooked food, not sushi.
When I was pregnant I would go out for California rolls because they have no raw fish, but are still tasty if you crave some sushi. I never - ever - had a sip of alcohol though. That's obnoxious and Gwyneth should know better. What a dumb bitch she is.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston are superb at giving arrogant quotes. Since they both dated Brad Pitt and hate the entertainment industry they have a few things in common to complain about. It's surprising that you don't see more of those two rude bitches together, and we think they would make great friends.
Paltrow was just quoted bitching about Robbie Williams in faux British vernacular. She probably resents the fact that Williams is more talented than her boring husband:
Well, we can attest to the fact that Williams likes to get naked, and that he looks damn good in the process. As for being rude, it takes one to know one.

First of all, Mortimer is a nickname Paltrow made up and isn't even Speilberg's real name, which is really Steven Spielberg.
Second, there's a reason why only old Jewish men are named Mortimer - it's a weird creepy name that is deservedly out of fashion.
We hope this rumor is false or that Paltrow changes her mind. The girl is a pompous laughing stock and she should get therapy from a non new-age source.
