Scarlet Johansson and Josh Hartnett are said to have bought a $6 million loft in New York City - and to have requested extra soundproofing around their bedroom:
The insider dishes to the weekly magazine that neighbors needn’t worry about the lovebirds being loud. The couple are requesting extra soundproofing - in their bedroom!
“They asked that we change the design to include extra insulation between the bedrooms of the penthouse and the unit next door,” says a realty insider.
Josh’s rep tells L&S that the couple are not moving in together.
But the chatty real estate insider says it was Scarlett, 21, who scouted the 2,648-square-foot condo in Tribeca - which boasts three bedrooms, 2½ baths and two balconies...
And – a few days later, her father and Josh, 28, were seen poring over floor plans in a nearby café. “She seemed very pleased,” says the realty insider.
Scarlet and Josh lived together in Josh's Tribeca apartment from about December of last year until late March, when Scarlet is said to have spent $2 million on her own Tribeca condo. They've tried to keep a low-profile relationship, and that's great news that they're moving in together and giving it another try.
It could be true that just Scarlet's buying the place, but if she's requesting a soundproof bedroom there's got to be a good reason.

Josh Harnett's people have denied that he has broken up with Scarlett Johansson, as has been widely reported. Hartnett has been seen out with several different women, and people assumed that he had broken up with gorgeous Johannson, but his reps say that's not true:
A spokesperson for the 27-year-old Sin City star told the New York Daily News that the couple "are still together".
The couple met on the set of their forthcoming movie, The Black Dahlia, in Bulgaria.
Hartnett was said to have broken up with Johansson back in late March, but they were spotted leaving a NY spa together after a couples' massage about a week later.
Hartnett made a reference to his relationship problems in a video interview aired on TMZ in late March, saying:
For her part, Johansson is quoted as saying in January that she doesn't think "human beings are monogamous creatures by nature."
It sounds like Scarlett and Josh are having the type of on-again off-again relationship that is common with urban 20-somethings.

The Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art held a ball last night to celebrate the opening of an exhibit on British design. Sienna Miller, wearing an awful gold sequined minidress and black tights, served as co-chair for the event.
The flamboyant show, made up of themed rooms including a Hunt Ball and a Gentleman’s Club, is the latest example of the city’s growing obsession with all things from across the pond.
Celebrities from the UK including Liz Hurley, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell put on their glad rags for the lavish event.
The Americans were represented by A-listers including Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker and Richard Gere.
The British-born editor of American Vogue, Anna Wintour, swept in first.
Miller, who teamed her glittering frock with opaque black tights and wore her hair tied back in a simple ponytail, shared the limelight with Christopher Bailey, the creative director of Burberry.
He and Wintour were the starlet’s fellow co-chairs. The fashion house and Vogue publisher Condé Nast have sponsored the exhibition.
The guy dressed like a cabaret pirate posing with Charlize Theron is Dior designer John Galiano. He's responsible for her monstrosity of an Oscar gown with the giant shoulder bow. Sienna Miller is shown with Christopher Bailey, Burberry's creative director.

Johansson's on-again off-again boyfriend of one year, actor Josh Harnett, has admitted that he was scared to film love scenes with co-star Lucy Lui in his new film, Lucky Number Slevin. Harnett said Lui's on-screen role as an assassin in "Kill Bill" made him feel scared of her:
"I was actually kind of terrified to tell you the truth. I'd done a few already. She just kind of looked to me for support.
"I just tried to make her as comfortable as possible."
That's cute that Harnett felt threatened by Lui. It seems like he tried to backtrack by saying that he wanted to make her feel comfortable.

Josh Hartnett appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night.
Recent reports had Hartnett splitting up with his girlfriend of nearly one year, Scartlet Johansson. Hartnet and Johansson were spotted in NY enjoying a couples' massage last weekend, and in a current interview Hartnett hints that they're working on their relationship.

This conflicts a report from a week ago that Josh and Scarlet have split up.
Scarlet just bought a nearly $2 million condo in Tribeca, which suggests that she's ready to move out of the apartment she shared with Josh in the same area.
In a video aired on TMZ, Hartnett hints that he's having trouble with Scarlet when prompted by the interviewer, and admits that he works on his relationships:
It seems like Scarlet and Josh are working on it, and we wish them the best.

TMZ is reporting that Josh Hartnett, 27, just broke up with Scarlett Johansson, 21. The relatively low key Hollywood couple have lived together in Josh's Tribeca apartment in NY since December, 2005, and have been dating for just about a year.
It's surprising that Josh is the one who supposedly broke up with Scarlett. Scarlett was widely quoted two months ago saying that she didn't believe "human beings are monogamous creatures by nature."
Hartnett stars in the movie "Lucky Number Slevin" which premiered in NY last night. Lucy Liu, Ben Kingsley, and Bruce Willis are also in the film. Josh Hartnett is quoted in Page Six lamenting the role models created by the gossip media:
Hartnett is right, after all, and we're just as guilty for elevating Lohan and Hilton even though we make fun of them. Page Six says that Hartnett may be influenced by his famous girlfriend, Scarlett Johansson, who has a long-running feud with Lohan.
