People reports that Mischa Barton was seen out holding hands with a new guy in London recently, which may signify the end of her stormy relationshiop with Whitestarr frontman and all-around suspicious character Cisco Adler.
Mischa has hooked up with Rugby star Mark Robinson, also known as "Sharky" of the Northampton Saints. Robinson is from New Zealand so he's got to have the sexiest accent:
The 20-year-old British-born actress had been dating rocker Cisco Adler but reportedly hooked up with the 30-year-old sportsman at a swanky bash in Windsor, England.
An onlooker at the party tells Britain's the News of the World, "Mark couldn't believe his luck. One minute they were standing there talking and the next they were all over each other in the corner of the tent. They were (kissing) and running their hands over each other's bodies. They didn't seem to care who saw."
A close friend of Robinson adds, "He's been smiling all week and has told pals but won't talk publicly."
As Mischa matures, so does her taste in men. Cisco seems like a decent guy, considering how he spoke candidly in her defense when Paris talked trash about her, but he doesn't seem like he's in Mischa's league.
There's also a report that Mischa snubbed British comic Russell Brand, who was briefly linked with Kate Moss. Brand tried to hit on Barton at a London club recently, but she wasn't having it.
Barton won't have much time to spend with her new sportsman this week. She flew into Australia on Sunday to help promote designer David Jones' summer collection.

Update: I'm not sure Mischa is shown with Mark Robinson, because the guy she's holding hands with doesn't look exactly like the pictures I've seen of the rugby player. She hooked up with Robinson according to sources, but whether that's the same guy in the photo with her is up to debate.

Mischa Barton is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the once-good "Desperate Housewives." She's young, intelligent and naturally gorgeous. That's gotta piss off most of the cast:
If Barton joined, she could add a breath of fresh air to the failing series, and some much needed competition to the older women on the cast. There are no cute 20-somethings on the show, and it would be a good idea to court Barton to sign on.

Mischa Barton's limo was too big to maneuver around some tight curves in London, so the the driver had the former "O.C." star get out and walk a little bit to get to the UK premiere of "Pirates of the Caribbean 3." She was accompanied by British talk show hosts Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins of Channel 4's "Friday Night Project."
Collins said he loved Barton's foul mouth and had a great time with the 20 year-old actress:
Collins has now revealed she has a filthy mouth.
He told BANG Showbiz: "She has a wicked sense of humour. She's really cheeky.
"I was quite shocked to be honest because she looks all sweet and lovely but she would come out with certain things and I would just be stunned. "She's one hell of a girl. She's wicked and I love her."
Britain's Mirror also reports that Barton said she didn't "give a s*** where Paris is" when someone told her that she just missed Paris Hilton's visit to the UK. That's not surprising since the two have fought in the press before.
Here is Barton getting in her limo and at the "Pirates" premiere. Her dress is too short and the jeweled top and cap sleeves are just odd. Barton is seen with talk show host Justin Lee Collins and has not moved on from Cisco Adler to another shockingly unsuitable suitor.
Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and her on and off-boyfriend, Cisco Adler, hit the beach this weekend. Richie is shown letting Mischa's little dog, Ziggy, lick her on the lips.
Whitestarr frontman Cisco insists everything between him and Barton is fine, and that stories of their breakup are not true. He says Mischa is busy working and that's why they weren't photographed together in a while.
Nicole Richie's dad has supposedly promised her a luxury Caribbean cruise with friends if she gains weight. Lionel Richie so worried about his daughter's health that he thought up the vacation as an incentive. Given all of luxuries Nicole enjoys on a daily basis, this doesn't seem like it will be an effective strategy. It's kind of Richie to be concerned about his daughter, though.

Mischa Barton's character on The O.C., Marissa, died last night in the season finale in a tragic car crash while her on-screen boyfriend, Ryan, was driving. This came as a surprise to almost no one. Marissa's death was rumored for a while, although it was originally said that she would die of a drug overdose. Barton spilled the beans to Access Hollywood before the finale that her character would die:
The class of 2006, which includes Marissa, Ryan, Seth and Summer, graduated from Harbor High School. Seth and Summer were accepted by the same college. Ryan was reunited with his mother, who gave him a Land Cruiser as a graduation gift. Marissa's mom gave her a pearl necklace, while her dad gave her an opportunity to work with him on a yacht set to sail around the Greek islands.
Ryan was taking Marissa to the airport in his new SUV when they were antagonized at high speed by a drunken and vengeful Volchok, who they both had a history with. Volchok swigged from a flask as he chased the pair in his car.
Ryan lost control of the Land Cruiser and crashed, the vehicle rolling off the road. He pulled Marissa from the wreckage just before the vehicle caught fire.
There, on the side of the road, she died in his arms.
That's so sad for Marissa and Ryan and I would have been crying if I lived in the states and could have watched it.

Mischa Barton's character on The O.C., Marissa Cooper, may die of a drug overdose. Barton has several films coming up and is said to be tired of her ongoing role on the series:
News of Mischa's departure comes in the wake of reports suggesting she was trying to get fired from the show by pulling a host of sickies. The 20-year-old actress allegedly had become worried about the show's spiralling ratings and concerned about being typecast as a teen brat.
According to reports, in the last few months Mischa has frequently called in sick or arrived late on set to the displeasure of her bosses.
Marissa had a near-brush with death when she took a handful of prescription drugs while in Mexico in season one of The O.C. Ryan found her passed out, heroically saving her just in time. It will be a sad end to her character, and that's too bad that she's not waiting out the end of the series.
O.C. creator Josh Schwartz says the show will go on for one more year, and that there will be a major plot climax at the end of this season. It sounds like he might be talking about Marissa's death.

Mischa Barton, the new face of Bebe in ads that are tamer than the hype would lead you to expect, was snapped outside her trailer playing with her dog. She's probably on the set of "The OC," although there isn't a description to go along with the photos.
Barton is reportedly single after ending her on-again off-again relationship with Whitestarr frontman Cisco Adler for good last week.
Mischa Barton is the new face of Bebe, in ads to be launched soon. One commentor on the bulletin board where we found these scans said she's already seen the pictures on a bus stop.
She's said to be "playing the dominatrix" in these ads by photographer Steven Klein, but they look pretty tame:
In one quirky photo, taken by top snapper Steven Klein, Barton digs her high-heel stilettos into a male model's bare back, while, in another, a hunk wearing nothing but a pair of bikini briefs kneels obediently beside her as she strikes a fierce pose behind a veil.
Rumor has it that Mischa has been late on set and may be thinking of leaving The O.C. Her bosses have denied that there's a problem, and say they "don't comment on rumor or speculation." That makes it sound true, doesn't it?

Mischa Barton has stopped smoking up long enough to realize that she's out of Cisco Adler's league. Adler was said to be unhappy with Barton's partying, which led the actress to break up with the Whitestarr frontman:
According to Britain's Daily Star newspaper, Barton, 20, was less than impressed when Adler, 26, told her he was unhappy with the amount of time she was spending with close friend Nicole Richie and dumped him.
The two were said to be engaged last fall, but that seems to have been short lived. Page Six, hardly known for its accuracy, reported that they first split on February 26. They were spotted together since, suggesting they had reconciled.
This time Barton seems to have wised up. She's hardly as foolish as most other actresses, and Adler must have had some redeeming qualities, but she's likely to move on to better fare now that she's single.
Barton is also said to want to leave "The O.C." now that the show is not doing as well in the ratings.

Barton and The Veronicas hosted a party put on by Jane Magazine at the Tropicana Bar in Hollywood last night. The purpose was to launch the 2006 Keds collection, and I must say that the shoes look really cute and comfortable. These aren't your average plain canvas shoes, and I would wear them. (Keds is not paying me, but if you would like to sponsor this site, please consider it because I'll hype your product or service as well as Perez.)
Yesterday we mentioned how intelligent and thoughtful Mischa seemed in a recent interview. She's quite a good spokesperson for Keds and she's sure to get more high-profile contracts.

Mischa Barton made a scheduled appearance at Macy's in San Francisco this week, and the brief interview she had with a reporter shows her mastery of the vague but positive interview style that older actresses like Aniston and Longoria have yet to grasp.
A: At this point, we're so different just because she goes through so much surreal stuff.
You start with some similarities but after everything she's been through, thanks to the world of television, she's grown and changed into a completely different entity. I love her as a character because I think she's truly entertaining.
Q: You and Sienna Miller are often referred to as young style icons. How do you define style?
A: It's all about individuality and having your own mark on things and not being afraid to try new things. Style is also about confidence in your clothing and the way you carry yourself.
Notice she says nothing at all about Sienna Miller when the interviewer mentions that she has been compared to the erratic actress' messy style. Barton just answers the other part of the question, and we might infer that she thinks Miller is sloppy and not on par with her level of fashion, but she simply skirts the question. She also has something nice to say about almost every question.
Proving that she's a worthy spokeperson, she later gives Keds a plug without sounding fake about it. She also acknowledges that she has a few Chanel bags, but downplays it. She doesn't brag about it or say how fabulous they are. She's more effusive about Keds than about Chanel:
A: Oh, I don't know. I probably have 15 or 20. It's not ridiculous. I probably get a bag every season from them and then I buy the ones that I really want.
Q: You embrace Keds, which is just about as far as you can get from Chanel. What is it about the canvas shoes?
A: I love them because everyone can identify with them and so many cool people have worn them over the years.
I love when you take a brand and it comes back. It has that established side to it but you can also put a new spin on it. Keds is really good at doing that. They're so open and they have so many different styles. They identify cool.
Barton has the grace, style, and intelligence to be an A-list actress and we know she will go far.
Here she is at fashion week on Thursday with David Cardona, the designer of the Bebe collection. Barton is 5'8" tall and in heels she towers over Cardona. Unlike Paris Hilton's little friend, fashion designer Louis Verdad, Cardona is actually smiling and looks like a friendly guy.
Update: Barton will be at Tilly's at the Irvine Spectrum center in Irvine, CA from 3:00 - 4:30 pm on Saturday, March 25th to promote Keds. [via]
Mischa Barton and (ex?) boyfriend, Whitestarr singer Cisco Adler, were photographed together in LA on March 6th. On February 26th, Page Six reported that the two had split, although there was no confirmation or announcement. Mischa was reportedly excited to get Jake Gyllenhaal's number at the time.
Adler has since defended Mischa in her press-fueled war of the words with Paris Hilton:
There haven't been any pictures of the two together in a while, and from the looks of these latest paparazzi photos, they could be just friends. For Mischa's sake, let's hope she's moved on. Adler may be chivalrous, but he could definitely use some help in the grooming department. [via]
