I take back what I said about Nicole Richie gaining a little bit a weight. She may have put on a few essential pounds a couple of weeks ago, but she looks like death warmed over again in these latest shots on the beach.
Keira Knightley is also taking the anorexic look a little too far. While she claims she's doesn't have the disorder, there's no way she's eating well if her chest looks like this.
Britain's Daily Mail reports that Nicole broke into tears and wailed "I have a disease" when a photographer told her to gain some weight. I really doubt that happened, but she is thinner than she was just a few weeks ago. The British rag sounds the alarm about the two young paparrazi-targets' weight:
With her ribcage protruding through her skin, the socialite and TV star had to hold up her American size 0 bikini which bagged around her wisp thin frame as she sunbathed on a beach in Malibu.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that a photographer called out telling her to "gain some weight." The ultra-skinny star replied: "I have a disease" before bursting into floods of tears...
And it seems Nicole is not the only celebrity with a worryingly thin frame at the moment.
Pirates of the Carribean star Keira Knightley, was spotted in central London on Friday exposing an emaciated ribcage.

Nicole Richie has been seen out with toned legs, suggesting she's been eating a little bit and using the leg press at the gym. She's also been photographed with two different mystery guys, one semi-hot and one weird.
Now comes news that she got wasted at a party with an out of control Mary-Kate Olsen and proceeded to puke all over the floor. Nicole didn't miss a step, though, and continued right on as if nothing had happened.
And then it happened, under the copper ceiling, amidst the hanging candles. "Nicole puked right on the floor, like right in the middle of the club," said the source. "Everyone saw! But I guess she didn't care. She kept partying."
"She loves tequila," said the source, a friend of Ms. Richie's. "But you know, she's so small—and she probably didn't eat anything that day. So you know, she probably had a couple shots and it just happened. She was just having a good time."
At least have the decency to go into the bathroom to puke. The few times in college I drank to the point of no return I somehow managed to make it into the bathroom in time. Of course I had more body tissue to absorb all that booze. Nicole probably has the alcohol tolerance of a child. (I was going to say toddler, but thought that sounded sick.)
Here is lovely Ms. Skin 'n Bones filming a segment with Tyra Banks for her talkshow. Commenters on JJB note that her head looks huge and it seems to be "carrying all 80 pounds of her," that she's "gonna have so many health problems in a few years," and that "she's already bald." What with drinking so much and not eating, it's not much of a stretch to think she'll have health problems. At least she gained a smidgeon of weight.

Nicole Richie was shopping at Kitson in LA, where she picked up a bunch of overpriced bangles. They were probably too heavy for her frail arms because she fainted dead away:
So the bangles may have been purchased on another shopping trip when she wasn't so unwell. What's important is that she declined food because there weren't any paparazzi in the store to photograph her eating it.
I fainted a couple of different times after giving blood, so I just don't do it anymore. It's pretty suspect that Nicole is fainting, but she's actually gained a smidgeon of weight. It could be due to low blood sugar or the heat, she's right. Fainting is defined as:
Richie could certainly be hungry or upset . I remember when Angelina Jolie fainted at the airport a while ago. It turned out she was pregnant. I'm just saying. It's more likely that Nicole is hungry, but she has been spending a lot of time with her ex, DJ AM, lately. They even dress alike, although he looks like he's running away from her in these pictures.

Nicole Richie was supposedly back with DJ AM for the third time, and was seen getting lunch with him at In-and-Out burger on June 20th. It's hard to keep up, though. Us Weekly says:
Richie is playing the delicate game of trying to stay fuck-buddies with her ex to minimize the breakup pain, but keeping her options open. She was spotted with unlikely beau Matt Dillion at Hollywood hotspot Chateau Marmot last week:
Even if Dillion only spent five minutes with Richie, that's plenty of time for a meaningful relationship to develop. Both Busta Rhymes and Kevin Smith's pal Jason Mewes claim to have had quickies with the tiny socialite.
Richie and Dillon make an unlikely couple, but Dillon seems like a good guy who's mature enough to commit at least. Maybe something will come of it.
Dillon will next star in the comedy "You, Me and Dupree" as Kate Hudson's husband. Owen Wilson plays an unwelcome houseguest.

Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and her on and off-boyfriend, Cisco Adler, hit the beach this weekend. Richie is shown letting Mischa's little dog, Ziggy, lick her on the lips.
Whitestarr frontman Cisco insists everything between him and Barton is fine, and that stories of their breakup are not true. He says Mischa is busy working and that's why they weren't photographed together in a while.
Nicole Richie's dad has supposedly promised her a luxury Caribbean cruise with friends if she gains weight. Lionel Richie so worried about his daughter's health that he thought up the vacation as an incentive. Given all of luxuries Nicole enjoys on a daily basis, this doesn't seem like it will be an effective strategy. It's kind of Richie to be concerned about his daughter, though.

Nicole Richie and DJ AM were first engaged in February, 2005, split up in December, 2005, and then reconciled at the end of February, 2006 and were said to be planning a July wedding.
Richie and AM split for the second time back in mid-May, with both of their reps confirming it. AM supposedly was fed up with Richie's deathly-thin look, leading him to dump the tiny socialite. She does look slightly better lately and has been keen to show it off by posing for the paparrazi in her bikini. This may be enough for AM, because he was spotted having lunch with her yesterday at Le Conversacion in Beverly Hills.
This couple is getting to be like Jude and Sienna and we're tired of them.

Last night's first epside of the new season of "The Simple Life 4: We don't speak to each other" premiered on the E! Network. While the ratings haven't come out yet, we would assume it didn't draw the same audience as the 13 million viewer peak of the series' third season on Fox. (We thought "The Break Up" would tank too, so what do we know?)
"Simple Life 4" was originally going to have a "Bridezilla" theme as it followed the psuedo-celebrities as they planned their weddings to whomever they were engaged to at the time. When their relationships were discarded like last month's four-figure handbags, producers settled on a "wife swap" plot that falls flat.
The show is said to royally suck. Paris and Nicole get up to their normal cringe-worthy scripted hijinx - except this time they do it separately and with less panache.
Faithful followers will have to wait and see. E! didn't send out review copies to everybody, but critics who have seen it say it's lost that certain something that made it a stupid classic of sorts.
The two do sort of run into each other in a Hollywood restaurant, according to the New York Daily News. And E!'s camera crews just happened to be there. Nicole sent a cookie over to Paris' table with a naughty note written in icing. Anyone who thinks all this isn't being staged to hype the show probably still believes in the Tooth Fairy.
The series has been turned into a contest with each of the two "girls" getting half the show. Sunday they fill in for a couple with a small daughter and a child on the way. The two pop tarts are never seen together and have different film crews, so their paths don't cross. Calling them "girls" really is fitting because they get to act like third-graders having a fight on the playground.
They take turns caring for the child, which sounds pretty scary, and doing hard chores like filling the dishwasher.
Here's a preview of the fourth season. The announcer speaks Dutch. Don't let that throw you, because the clip's in English and how much can they say about this crap anyway?
Here is Nicole Richie at MTV's "Spankin' New Sounds" on June 1st with Christina Milian [via] and flying out of San Diego supposedly on June 2nd. [via] (She's wearing the same dress so we would assume these pictures were taken on the same day.)
In these new pictures of Nicole Richie on the beach in Malibu on Sunday she looks like she gained a little essential weight. She's still vastly too skinny, but you have to give the poor waif a little credit. She must have had a sandwich in the time between December and now, because there's a slight difference. It could be the fact that she's cleverly hiding her sternum beneath a scarf, but her stomach looks a little more filled out, and her legs are less skinny. It looks like a 5-7 pound weight gain. She isn't a normal weight by any measure though. Picking her apart probably won't help her face up to her problem, but we couldn't resisit.
According to one of Nicole's friends, her drastic weight loss was caused by an addiction to the over the counter weight loss drug hoodia.
She told Britain's More magazine that Nicole once told her: 'Hoodia makes you look hot in low-cut tops and backless dresses. It is good for me - the bushmen have sworn by it for hundreds of years and that's good enough for me.'
The troubled 24-year-old dropped from a US size 2 to a US size 0 in a matter of months following her brief split from Adam Goldstein last December and she recently confessed that she was too thin.
Nicole's friend sounds like she's covering up for her other addictions.

The new "Simple Life" on the E! Entertainment Network, prophetically titled "Til Death Do Us Part," is so terrible that the NY Daily News gives it zero stars. News TV editor Richard Huff says that the Fox version was funny at least. Richie and Hilton never appear together in the new series due to their ongoing feud, but it's the terrible concept and bad execution in the latest installment of the faux reality show that make it cringe-worthy. Based on the preview of the first episode he screened, Huff calls it unwatchable.
Because the two women aren't talking in real life, the producers concocted a concept that has them separately filling in for a married pregnant woman with a young daughter.
"I'm the nice one; she's the evil one," Hilton tells the wife at one point of Richie.
The wife gives each of them a list of chores, ranging from taking care of the daughter to filling the dishwasher.
Richie, in full floozy form, asks if she should take care of hubby, too. "If you want me to sleep with him, let me know," Richie says. "How am I supposed to be pregnant if I don't sleep with your husband?"
The wife gasps. Viewers will, too, wondering why they stayed so long...
Nevertheless, the show goes downhill from there.
At one point, Nicole takes the husband to a strip club, and, oh, surprise, she gets the wife on the phone while he's surrounded by flesh. She also straddles him during Lamaze class to demonstrate sex while pregnant.
And after ordering pizza for her Lamaze class, Hilton acts like she's going to puke while watching a movie of a woman giving birth.
"This is a natural process," the instructor tells Hilton, barely holding back a laugh.
The fact is, the instructor might be the only person to laugh at this show. Most people might feel like Hilton watching the birthing movie.
I didn't like the original "Simple Life" and felt uncomfortable watching the girls pull such immature pranks. If this reviewer thought the Fox version was good, the new season must be terrible.
Richie got producers threatened two months ago by asking an 11 year-old boy on the street if he thought she was a MILF during filming. When the boy confessed he didn't know what it meant she explained the acronym in foul detail. The boy's parents complained about the incident and refused to sign a release allowing the clip to be used. That's not funny, and it seems safe to say that nothing else about "Til Death Do Us Part" is funny, either.

The NY Post is reporting that DJ AM and Nicole Richie broke up for the second time because Richie didn't gain weight and stop partying as AM requested:
This was said to be the reason they broke up the first time, so it's not surprising. Nicole Richie knew that she needed to gain some weight to save her relationship, and she still couldn't do it. That reveals how much of a problem she has. She needs to check herself into a clinic. If she gained 20 pounds she would look so much better, and she needs to do it for her health.
Sky News quotes Richie's dad as saying that she's planning a wedding that he will be more than happy to pay for. He must not have heard the breakup news:
He broke the good news to the Daily Mirror before he took to the stage at the Prince's Trust concert in London on the weekend.
Lionel, who's Nicole's adoptive father, said: "I told her: 'Honey, you do what you want and just send me the bill.
"I'm really happy that it's working out for her," said the 56-year-old former Commodores star.
Richie will have to have a talk with her kind dad. Here she is shopping for shoes at Barneys on 5/19. Does she look healthy to you?

Nicole Richie eventually addressed the rumor that she screened Paris Hilton's sex tape "One Night in Paris" for friends at a party by stating that she would never watch porn:
Nicole has now vehemently denied carrying out the impromptu viewing and insists she has never seen Paris getting frisky on tape.
She said: "A, I don't watch porn, and B, I don't want to see someone I've known forever having sex. I mean, that's gross!"
On the video - which was released by Paris' ex-boyfriend, Rick Solomon - the hotel heiress is seen involved in a number of sex acts, including full penetrative sex and oral, and also performs a racy striptease.
Richie said earlier that she didn't want to be friends with Paris once she got out of rehab, because she decided to take "certain people out of my life."
Obviously there's still a lot of bad feelings between these two and we doubt they'll make up.
Here's Nicole giving her mom flowers for Mother's Day. She doesn't have to make some dumb excuse about how her present was "stolen" because she actually remembered to get her mother something.

Nicole Richie is an obvious perfectionist about her body. She starves herself thin, and has admitted wanting to change her nose:
This may be her way of letting the press know that she's about to undergo plastic surgery. Richie was photographed outside a plastic surgeon's office on May 9th.
She needs to see a therapist and work out her issues. From what I learned from the handful of college-level psychology courses I attended while nursing a hangover, Richie suffers from body dysmorphic disorder:
Meanwhile Richie has said that she's not friends with Paris Hilton anymore because she's just too good for her:
Sounds like a junior-high level assessment of friendship.
Nicole looks like she has gained a little bit of essential weight. In these pictures of her shilling for Sprint at the E3 convention on Wednesday she looks slightly more healthy. Maybe her confession to Vanity Fair about being too thin helped her to eat a little bit.
Liz Smith mentions in her column in the NY Post today that the photos that accompany Nicole Richie's interview in Vanity Fair were retouched to make her look healthy:
Nicole Richie became famous as soon as she started showing up for tons of events, and that just happened to coincide with her weight loss, probably because she had higher self esteem. While the ideal for slenderness in Hollywood is out of bounds and harmful to young women, I don't think that Richie's stardom can be attributed to her stick thin appearance. It is obviously unhealthy and not a good role model for anyone of course.
You can see the retouching in the photos below. In a picture of RIchie wearing underwear and kissing herself in the mirror, her butt looks a little too round to be real. Her face also looks less deathly.
The red string bracelet that Richie wears on her right wrist may not be a sign of anorexic pride that it can also stand for. (Some images are shown flipped, and the bracelet is really on her right hand.) It is from Kitson and is adorned with a gold hamsa, a protective jewish symbol. It's just, uh, a coincidence that anorexics also wear red string bracelets on their right wrists while Kabbalah followers wear them on their left wrists.
Richie admits in her Vanity Fair interview that she's too thin and that she's getting help from a doctor and a nutritionist.

Nicole Richie admits she's thin in an upcoming interview for Vanity Fair, and confesses that she has seen a doctor and a nutritionist about it:
About two weeks ago, Richie said she realized she was thin, but was nonchalant about it.
Richie wears a red string bracelet on her right hand, a symbol of anorexic pride. It seems like she's perfectly aware that she doesn't eat but is in denial about how severe it is and won't admit it outright to the press. At least she's trying to get help, but it's going to take a lot of hard work and therapy.
In related news, there is a picture of supposed coke residue after Nicole Richie left a bathroom stall, but the evidence is unconvincing and seems fabricated.
Here she is in La Quinta, CA at a Coachella Party. We realize that Taryn Manning is holding a little pipe in one of the pictures since everyone has pointed this out. They've also noticed that Nicole seems to have lost some her hair. Hair loss is a sign of anorexia.

Younger members of the in crowd picked up lots of swag at the "Desert Oasis" Coachella invite-only party held in La Quinta, California on Saturday at Frank Sinatra's Twin Palms estate:
Andreas Herr, co-publisher of music publication Anthem Magazine, is hosting his second pool party Saturday afternoon at Frank Sinatra's Twin Palms estate. The magazine brought in Reebok, Amp'd Mobile and InSound to sponsor the event, and invited music label executives, fashion-industry types and musicians.
"It's an influential audience. It's something that our sponsors like to reach," Herr said.
Hopefully Nicole Richie got some free sunglasses. The ones she wore to the party look like they came from a joke shop.

Nicole Richie recently redesigned her engagement ring from AM from their first go-around, preserving the stone to use in a new setting. The couple is said to be making it official this July:
That sounds romantic, although we have to disagree that Nicole has put on weight. The couple broke up in December, 2005, and reconciled about two months ago.
Richie must be feeling particularly tender toward AM. He is recovering from "follow-up" work for his 2003 gastric bypass surgery, widely rumored to be plastic surgery to remove excess skin.

Nicole Richie says that she realizes she's thin, but still shows how out of touch with reality she is when she attributes her weight loss to exercise:
She is quoted in Britain's Star magazine as saying: "Am I thin? Yes, no doubt about it. I'll squeeze in a workout when I have time, but I don't do any cardio. I don't need to, I'm thin."
The girl can't do cardio because she'll collapse! She needs to gain at least 20 pounds. Here's Nicole getting her nails done. She's still wearing the red bracelet on her right hand. Kabbalah followers wear it on their left hand, but a red string on the right hand is a sign of anorexic pride.

Nicole Richie is redesigning the engagement ring given to her by DJ AM in February, 2005 for their first engagement. The couple broke up in December, 2005, and reconciled six weeks ago. Richie will save AM money by using the stone from her original ring in a new setting. Apparently she's "superstitious," but we just think she's pushing AM into another engagement and doesn't want to wait for him to get her a new ring:
According to an insider, the 24-year-old would have donned her old ring if she wasn't so superstitious about jinxing the romance with a ring she cast aside when they split. Magazine In Touch claims Richie recently met with jewelery designer Nancy Davis, who designed her first ring, about creating a new design.
A source says, "She wants a ring that doesn't hold any memories of the break-up."
Meanwhile, Richie is already telling her pals that she and Goldstein are "unofficially engaged," according to Life & Style magazine, and they plan to marry later this year.
"Unoffically engaged" is like being a "little bit pregnant" - it doesn't exist except in the minds of people who really want to make it happen.

Guess the text messages that Paris sent Nicole in a bid to reconcile with her ex friend were just "words that she wrote" because Paris lost her patience with Nicole and has talked a bunch of trash about her:
"I've been best friends with her since I was two, but when I brought her on to my show, she got very jealous and turned on me for no reason.
"It breaks my heart. She was my sister. She was the funniest person to be around and then she let the fame go to her head.
"I never want to speak to her again - ever."
Paris - your sister's name is Nicky. It's very similar to Nicole and all, but they're different people.

DJ AM's surprise birthday party was held on April 1st at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas. AM turned 33 on March 30th. AM's girlfriend, Nicole Richie, 24, was there along with guests pictured including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Tone Loc, Vanessa Traina, and Richie's stylist, Rachel Zoe. The cake featured an edible old school turntable complete with vinyl-looking record.

So after AM partied it up at the Winter Music Festival in Miami, he headed down to Mexico to enjoy some alone time with Nicole Richie. The two were spotted smooching and hanging out on the beach.
Nicole Richie is set to write a style guide that will rival the newly announced "Fashion Bible" by illiterate Victoria Beckham.
Richie is said to be considering the boring title "Nicole Richie Style" and the content is predictable:

Nicole Richie has said that her childhood was so happy that it lead her to do drugs:
She adds, "Doing drugs kind of made me just forget and not feel anything, for a second. I think it's a combination of things. Partly just me wanting to be older - it's what the older kids were doing at the time."
Nicole has been cared for by Lionel Richie and his wife from the age of three. She is the daughter of a drummer that worked with Richie and one of his backstage assistants, and was formally adopted when she was nine. Even if she says things were fine and she had a good childhood, she may have been conflicted about her adoption. When someone says they don't want to feel anything, they're trying to deny that there's anything wrong.

Nicole Richie makes a feeble attempt to deflect well-deserved speculation about her weight by stating that she just loves fast food:
"I'm a big Taco Bell fan, a real fast-food eater. I don't have the highest standards when it comes to food.
"We eat dinner out every night because none of us cooks."
Richie is hounded by photographers everywhere she goes, and apart from this picture where she's uncomfortably eating a hotdog at a Knicks game, which she no doubt purged as soon as possible, there's little evidence that she enjoys fast food. Richie has been seen entering fast food establishments - and coming out with only beverages. She's undoubtedly fooling herself with these latest comments.
Here's Richie with some flattering hair extensions at the Prince show at Teddy's in Hollywood, CA yesterday. Paris also attended the show, but there's no word whether the two ex-friends met up. We would bet they were pointedly ignoring one another.
Richie's boyfriend, DJ AM, is in Miami for the popular Winter Music Conference, so not much can be inferred from the fact that he didn't go to the show with her.

Paris Hilton is looking to reconcile with estranged friend and Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie, but she's doing it in a half-assed way - via SMS:
Nicole has dismissed Paris’ overtures, “She just doesn’t trust Paris anymore,” says an insider. Paris isn’t letting the silent treatment get to her, the insider adds: “she’s even hoping that when she and Nicole are reunited, they can find more joint projects!”
So Paris wants to make up with Nicole to further her career? Like everything else she does, this is all too transparent and Nicole won't be having it.

Fox's earlier seasons of The Simple Life were "soft-scripted" in that Richie and Hilton were told what to do and coached to behave outrageously. Richie seems perfectly capable of swearing in front of kids, but this incident was no doubt influenced by The Simple Life producers.

So the reconciliation is in full (media) force, with Nicole and AM spotted together holding hands outside of several restaurants and even at a party together.
News outlets are buzzing that they're back together, but that AM won't let Richie put her engagement ring back on. At least he's willing to be seen with her, that's something.

This is the second recent picture of the two together. They were seen holding hands after a dinner date just last week.
The two confirmed their split on December 7, 2005. According to The Bastardley, AM broke up with Richie after a ten-month engagement because she was too skinny and reminded him of an adolescent.

Paris and Nicole arrived on the set of The Simple Life on February 27, 2006. Filming will require no contact between the two, and they supposedly didn't even acknowledge each other. In this first post to Celebitchy, we'd like to point out a man who reveals more than intended when trying to brag about a conquest. When asked by Radio Station Power 106 "What's the name of the last celebrity you had sex with," Rhymes said "Lionel Richie's daughter got it real quick." Sounds like someone was a little too excited to make the encounter last.
