Jennifer Aniston swears up and down that she's not engaged to Vince Vaughn. Us Weekly stands by its story that she is engaged and cites a bunch of stories that celebrities denied but ended up being true. The first commentor notes that it's pretty convenient selective reasoning on their part. Of course there are hits and misses in the messy, often-fabricated world of celebrity gossip.
Perez Hilton claims to know from an insider that Aniston was actually engaged to Vaughn and that US was right, but now she's totally dumped while Vaughn is partying in Vegas and hitting on chicks. That sounds like a plausible explanation for Aniston's vehement denial:
In her new People interview, Jen never even acknowledges that she is still dating Vince.
"We're just being," she tells the mag of her and Vaughn.
According to our moles, Vaughn was in Vegas this past weekend, and Maniston was nowhere to be found! Trouble in Paradise? Hell to the fucking yeah!
Sources close to the situation tell us that that Jen - who has a history of lying to her fans - is also covering something up this time; specifically, that after their engagement on June 27th something has gone horribly wrong with Vaughniston!!
Tabloids have reported for the last two weeks that there is major trouble with Jen and Vince. Now her denial to People today (and what sources are telling PerezHilton.com) suggests there is truth to these reports that the engagement has been CALLED OFF...
According to several people close to the situation, Maniston is humiliated at another failed relationship and is doing damage control ASAP!
Sources also tell PerezHilton.com that no other than Stephen Huvane sat in on the phone call between Jen and People today, controlling what they could use and couldn't use.
Vaughn spent last weekend partying in Vegas at Mandalay Bay, getting drunk and flirting with girls...just like old times. And Jen stayed back ALONE in Malibu all weekend!
Maniston seems way too emotional and emphatic about denying that she is getting married, telling People, "I mean, it couldn't be more of a 'No.'"
Thou doth protest too much!!
There you go. It looks like everyone is right, Us and Aniston. Is it surprising that Vaughn and Aniston broke up? They didn't even want to be photographed together.

Courteney Cox says that Jennifer Aniston is a great friend that she can rely on in a crisis:
Cox recently revealed that she had some trouble in her marriage to funnyman David Arquette and that they wisely sought counseling to straighten it out.
She also adamantly denies that Aniston is engaged to Vaughn:
Asked at a charity event yesterday if Aniston was planning to become Mrs. Vaughn, Cox said, "No, she's not."
I bet Vaughn and Aniston are broken up already. Either that or they're fighting constantly. Neither of them look happy together in the rare paparrazi photos that come out.
Star reports that Aniston and Vaughn are having trouble because Aniston doesn't want kids, but that's probably just speculation.

Vince and Jen were engaged for three hours yesterday, and everyone was tentatively happy for gloomy Aniston. Not even a well-Photoshopped magazine cover with a fake headline can get these two together publically, because they denied the rumor almost as soon as it was out. But - hold your horses - Jennifer's publicist is known for his baldfaced lies, so this could possibly be true!
"It is not true--they are not engaged," Stephen Huvane told E! News on Wednesday.
Of course, as Us Weekly was only too happy to point out on its Website, Huvane has a history of issuing denials over reports that later turned out to be accurate.
For example, in November 1999, when Aniston was spotting wearing a diamond sparkler on her left ring finger, Huvane denied that she was engaged to Brad Pitt, claiming the bauble was "not an engagement ring," and he continued to deny that the pair planned to marry up until their June 29, 2000 wedding.
In December 2004, two weeks before Pitt and Aniston announced their split, Huvane maintained that all was well in their union. "They are looking forward to spending the holidays with each other. There is no split. They are fine," he told Us Weekly.
In February 2005, Huvane denied reports that Aniston planned to move back into her former Hollywood Hills home, claiming it had been leased out to Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher. Lo and behold, the couple was asked to move out that month so that Aniston could move back in later that year.
Finally, when rumors that Aniston and Vaughn were dating first surfaced in July 2005, Huvane denied there was any romantic interest. "Vince is a good friend of Jennifer's. I think the tabloids are so eager to see her with someone romantically that they just make these false assumptions," he told the New York Post.
When Jen and Vince go out of their way to avoid each other publically, and Vince is completely unable to acknowledge the relationship, it makes it obvious that he's unwilling to commit.
If US Weekly is right and there is an actual engagement, it seems like a last-ditch effort by Vince to keep Jen. He strikes me as the type of guy you can never pin down who would only ask Jen to marry him if he had no other options. My last boyfriend before I met my husband was like that. I dealt with his indecision for two years before that lousy relationship finally bit the dust. You can't get blood out of a stone, and a man won't change for you. Instead of trying to get a pet or focusing on other things, you should trade those type of guys in for a better model.
This doesn't make sense though, because aren't they supposed to be planning a huge wedding now? If they just got engaged at this point - and even if they didn't, logic dictates that all the wedding stories are false. People don't plan weddings before they're engaged.

Guess Vince broke down and realized he had to commit to Jennifer Aniston or risk losing her. Maybe that call from Matthew McConaughey uh, pushed him over the edge... into the abyss. Vince has proposed to Jennifer, and US Weekly has confirmed it:
On June 27, as the couple returned home on a private Gulfstream jet to L.A. after a romantic, nine-day vacation at Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis’ $25 million coastal retreat near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the actor nervously got down on bended knee. At that moment, he asked for Aniston’s hand in marriage – with, say sources, a substantial diamond ring.
“He was going to propose on the beach during the trip, but he chickened out because he wasn’t sure if she would accept,” says the source. “But he knew he was leaving town [to film Into the Wild in South Dakota] for awhile, so he just felt he had to ask her before they landed.”
I for one would like to see the ring, and Jen and Vince's smiling faces out at a public event. If he's serious about keeping her he won't pull that "we're buddies" crap in interviews anymore and they shouldn't be afraid to be photographed together. Um, best wishes?

Star Magazine reports this week that Matthew McConaughy called Jennifer Aniston in a not-so-subtle attempt to get her to go out with him.
A friend of Matt’s then tells Star Magazine, “He doesn't give up when he has his eye on someone. He’s figuring out his next move.”
Jennifer's rep denied that she received a call from McConaughy, but it could be true. If it really happened, it doesn't mean McConaughy was serious about it. He may have just wanted the publicity so that he can stem some of the rumors that he's enjoying Lance and Jake's company in every way possible. It was a pretty slick move on his part, considering he picked an actress who's technically unavailable, but hasn't gone public with her relationship.
Aniston seems to be having a hard time in her relationship with bloated paramour Vince Vaughn. While it was rumored last week that they broke up, that doesn't seem true since Vince was spotted out with Aniston and was seen leaving her house. Poor Aniston has bought a new dog to keep her company while she waits for a commitment from Vince that will never come. Maybe she should have gone out with McConaughy. At least it would have made Vince jealous.

The story that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn broke up may not be true. Jen might be hanging out with her famous gal pals, and she just got a new dog and all, but she was spotted out with Vince this Tuesday night. They both look miserable, though, that's something:
The news came out at the end of July that these two broke up and has only gradually picked up steam. Maybe they're just not spending much time together or have a rocky relationship. It's certainly suspect that they never went public with it.
Thanks to KevinFFan at JJB for finding this.

The Post Chronicle is running a story that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have split up. They're repeating an article from The Bosh that originally ran on July 25, so I don't know why it's taken so long for it to get picked up.
Australia's New Weekly also carries the story:
While stories of trouble in the pair’s relationship are widespread, doubt remains over who is the driving force behind the split. One source alleges that Vince is pulling the plug, while another claims it’s really Jennifer, 37, who wants out.
A report published in the US suggests that Vince, 36, is being pressured by his mum Sharon to end the romance. Sharon reportedly believes Jen’s on the rebound from Brad and doesn’t truly love her son.
“[Sharon] told him that if he married Jen, he’d be in for a world of heartbreak,” says a source. “Sharon said they needed to take a break so Jen could find closure with Brad.”
After listening to Sharon’s advice, Vince reportedly called off their secret nuptials. “He told Jen they need to take a breather,” the source adds.
But pals of the former Friends star say it’s Jennifer who’s calling it off after becoming fed up with Vince’s party-hard lifestyle. During a recent holiday in Mexico, the couple clashed over the actor’s boorish behaviour.
“She says he acted like a jerk, staying up all night with his friends, drinking and smoking,” one of Jen’s mates reveals. “It dawned on her that this isn’t the kind of man she wants to marry.
“The fact is, she dumped Vince.”
They never seemed like a real couple anyway because Vince was always calling Jen his "pal" and refusing to acknowledge their relationship. They also famously refused to pose for pictures together, even when promoting their film "The Break Up."
Aniston was recently spotted out without Vince looking drunk and miserable, making this story seem more likely.
Whether it's a real-life break-up for this pair or not, only time will tell. They're so under the radar that it's possible that they've been broken up for a while.

This week's National Enquirer has Jen and Vince "on the rocks" and fighting over the fake engagement ring Jen wore to the London premiere of "The Break Up." She had it on her left hand, and gushed about the ring's details to the press. Vince got pissed off and Jen put the ring on her right hand to appease him. Jen and Vince stayed away from each other all night, and a source says they were both in a bad mood and looked sad. We've heard this story before.
When British journalist Leigh Purves asked Vince if he and Jennifer planned to marry, he barked: "Talk to our people."
Said Purved: "I'd noticed Jennifer was wearing a ring on her wedding finder. I asked her about it and, looking very coy, she told me: 'It's a 9.5-carat canary diamond ring by Suzy Fabricant. Nice, isn't it?'
"I told her it was gorgeous, but before Jennifer could say anymore I noticed Vince moving in with a face like thunder."
Witnesses say Vince, 36, took 37 year-old Jennifer by the arm and marched her off into a corner.
"Vince gave Jennifer a real tongue-lashing. I overheard him using the words 'cheap' and trick,'" a source told the Enquirer. "Vince was talking in loud whispers. He kept repearing , 'Don't, Don't.'
"Jennifer looked hurt. She pulled the ring off and slipped it on her right hand."
At the premiere after party, they sat separately and left separately. They even had different suites in their hotel. From her quotes, she doesn't sound happy about their relationship:
It sounds like she doesn't care if the cherry is there or not, and as if she's trying to justify their stormy relationship.
US Weekly claims to have "The Truth about Jen & Vince" and refutes the rumors that she's engaged and/or pregnant while making it seem like their relationship is fine. They use the one picture of them having dinner together in France and say that she's moving to Chicago as proof of their solid relationship. They quote a source saying "Both of them are so happy, They are an amazing couple."
We doubt that everything is fine, because neither of them seems happy or is willing to admit much about the other to the press. They've been together for two years. Isn't that long enough to go public with their relationship?
Here are pictures we took of the stories in question. Hopefully they're legible. There are also two pictures of Jen leaving "The Break Up" after party in London on 6/14. [via]

German photographers booed when Jen and Vince refused to pose together at a photocall for "The Break Up" in Hamburg:
Finally, Vince did step forward, but only with the film's director, Peyton Reed, standing between Vaughn and Aniston. This teasing maneuver only further upset the media, whose voices swelled with groans and boos.
The videographer in this clip zooms in on Jennifer's right hand, possibly looking for an engagement ring. Despite media reports that the couple are engaged, sources tell TMZ that this is not true.
People probably booed inside the movie too. Despite a strong box office showing, it's supposed to suck.
Jen and Vince may or may not be together. They were photographed enjoying dinner in Paris (above) [via] and at the French Open, but they don't seem happy or particularly into each other. That could just be how they always look, though.
They are shown at the French Open, below.

People are saying she's bloated or whatever, but she really looks pregnant to me. Look how she poses defensively on the red carpet, holding her hands over her stomach and looking like she's trying to hide something. I think she's wearing a girdle here but still has a bump. It's below her belly button, not in the stomach area where it should be. If you look at the candid of her outside the Rodin museum, you can see a definite rounding. I may be wishing and hoping for this, since it would make such juicy gossip considering the situation, but I do believe it's true.
Life and Style Weekly is reporting that Aniston is pregnant. Yes I know that doesn't make it true, but someone else is reporting it!
Here is Aniston at a "Break Up" screening and photocall in Germany on June 12th and at the gardens of the Rodin museum in Paris on June 11th.

Thanks to Girlzilla at Oh No They Didn't for pointing out that Aniston's got a bump! It would be just like her to go and get pregnant out of spite.
Is she just slouching or could she really be having a Vaughn spawn?
At first I didn't think this was true - then I looked at the HQ photos. I really believe she's knocked up. My husband looked at these photos and said "She's at that age where she's getting desperate."
She wore a tight dress to the Australian premiere of "The Break Up" on June 5th, so she's not doing anything to try and hide it.
Aniston seems indifferent about having children. Although she says she wants them eventually she balked when asked by Regis if she ever babysits Coco Cox, Courtney's daughter.
Aniston's supposed boyfriend, her "Breakup" costar Vince Vaughn, told Oprah that he hasn't talked about children with Aniston and that it's a big deal for him:
We commented at the time that it sounds like Vince wants kids, just not with Jen.
Here are high quality images thanks to Hollywood's Best from "The Break-Up" Australian Premiere on 6/5, press conference on 6/6, Chicago premiere on 5/29 and LA premiere on 5/22. She has a definite bump at all of these events.
For comparison, the last row has pictures of Aniston outside "The Late Show" on 5/24. Her stomach is perfectly flat there, so there is a chance that she is bloated in the other pictures. The woman is thin and toned though, and the bump is pretty pronounced, so we are inclined to think she's pregnant.
Jennifer Aniston is said to have broken down in tears upon hearing that little Shiloh had seen the light of day. This sounds like crap someone would make up, and I have very little faith in the British rags, so take it for what it is:
But pals are concerned the former "Friends" star is still traumatized over Pitt's new life with Angelina Jolie.
Aniston's friend Tiffany Laws tells Britain's Star magazine, "Jen just burst into tears.
"She tried to cover it up in front of Vince but he assured her it was OK to cry.
"Jen called Brad's mom to offer her congratulations but couldn't get through.
"I think she had the feeling, 'That could have been my baby.'"
This could be true, but it's too personal for a friend to blab about to some random British gossip rag and we doubt it.
Jen may say she wants children but she balked when asked by Regis if she ever babysits Courtney Cox's daughter, Coco, practically shouting "No!".
The good news for Jen is that her career may be salvaged even if she is indifferent and infertile. "The Break Up" did much better than expected at the box office and bested "X-Men 3" despite terrible reviews.
Here she is at a press conference for "The Breakup" in Sydney. Thanks to Hollywood's Best for these photos.
The verdict is partially in and Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn's new movie, "The Breakup," is said to be terrible:
Initially meeting at a baseball game, Chicago tour guide Gary Grobowski (Vaughn) manages to persuade art gallery employee Brooke Meyers (Aniston) to dump her male friend and go out with him basically by buying her a hot dog.
Flash forward to the couple living in what isn`t exactly domestic bliss, with Brooke running around getting ready to host a dinner party for their families while Gary contentedly parks himself in front of the television.
With the cracks in their relationship finally reaching the breaking point, Brooke finally calls Gary for the jerk he is, but in her little schemes to make him realize the errors of his ways, Brooke only ends up matching him in the bad behavior department.
But what could have at best played out like a wilted "War of the Roses" ends up looking a lot more like Rob Reiner`s misbegotten "The Story of Us."
As for whether Aniston and Vaughn have broken up too, the verdict is still out. We reported that they seemed to be on the outs, at least according to Star Magazine, which said last week that Vince wanted time off from the relationship. US Weekly claimed to have an exclusive that they snuck off together after the LA premiere party, though.
Judging from the pictures at the Chicago premiere of "The Break Up" on Sunday, they still kept their distance. They were photographed together yesterday at the Cubs Reds game however, at which Vince threw the first pitch.
Aniston is said to have phoned Brad's manager to wish Brad and Angelina best wishes after the birth of their baby this weekend. That's rather weak considering she could have written a card or given a charitable donation in Shiloh's honor.
We'll just have to wait and see if these two last, but their relationship doesn't seem strong and we doubt they'll go the distance.
Some pictures [via].
Yesterday everyone pointed out that Aniston and Vaughn worked hard to keep their distance from each other at the premiere of their new romantic comedy, "The Break Up." The title of the film may be doubly ironic for Aniston, because Star Magazine is reporting that Vaughn told Aniston he needed time off. That means it's over:
Aniston also backtracked from earlier quotes that she wanted a family, saying she wanted one, uh, eventually. Oops.
“That was a misquote, by the way,” Jen explained. “Well only because I'm not. I'm a realist. I know you can't get a family in a year. I just sort of meant you know, eventually. That's something I would love for my future. But I didn't mean like tomorrow.”
Aniston doesn't want a family right away because Vaughn isn't into it - or her - at all.
It's not all bad news for Aniston. Judging by her newfound look and smiling face at the premiere of "The Break Up," it seems like being single again agrees with her. Vaughn isn't fairing as well, and seems to be suffering from some kind of liver ailment.
Posted to Breakups | Jennifer Aniston | Vince Vaughn
In an appearance on today's "Oprah," Vince Vaughn sort of acknowledged his relationship with co-star Jennifer Aniston when questioned directly, but he gave the old "Jen's my friend" response earlier in the interview:
Even though they're hounded by the press and there's a lot of controversy over Pitt leaving Aniston for Angelina Jolie, you think Vaughn could come up with a better way to handle it than to act like he's just buddies with his live-in girlfriend. He told David Letterman about a week ago that "I'm not saying we are or aren't a couple. I think she's great, but I just don't discuss whether we are."
That's weird and most celebrities at least acknowledge their significant other without getting into too much detail. It's strange that Vaughn is referring to Aniston like a friend's sister or someone he just happens to know, and it doesn't make their relationship seem too secure.
When Oprah asked Vince if he considered having children with Aniston, he didn't jump back into his "just friends" mantra and seemed to acknowledge that he's with her. He said there's no way he's having kids with her, though:
Has Vince discussed having kids with Jennifer? "No, I have not talked about having kids with Jennifer," he says. "I think [having children] takes a lot of focus, takes a lot of attention. I think it would be nice at some point to have a different priority in something else as you've sort of done stuff and challenged yourself, I think that time would come. But not any time in the near future for me, I don't think."
It doesn't sound like VInce wants to stay in his relationship. Any guy his age who wants kids but doesn't want them with their girlfriend - just doesn't want to be with their girlfriend.
Aniston is said to have asked Vince to give up a role that would have required him to film abroad for three months, suggesting that she's just as clingy and whiny as everyone thinks she is.
Aniston is also said to be devastated by the artsy pictures of Brad and Angelina on the beach in Namibia that came out a couple weeks ago. She was nearly in tears and said that Brad never looked that happy with her. It's just a matter of time before Vince wises up, too.
Here is Vince on Oprah. Thanks to marthaz on the JJB board for pointing these out.
Update: Video segment of Vince on Oprah:
The Mirror claims to have an exclusive today that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have bought a mansion in a Chicago suburb, but we read about it several days ago at Bricks and Stones.
The Mirror reports:
And they found it in the posh Chicago suburb where Vince grew up...
Standing on 7.5 acres of land, the mansion boasts nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a garage that accommodates six cars and a huge double-height, woodbeamed hall where they can entertain their friends.
According to our spy, the pair are overjoyed that they've finally found their perfect home - and that it's far from the showbiz world of Hollywood. "Jen and Vince have spent ages looking for the right place and when they found this, they knew it was perfect," says a source close to the couple.
"It's in a quiet, private neighbourhood and Vince is so well-liked there that he and Jen are hoping they're just going to be allowed to keep a low profile and get on with their lives.
Bricks and Stones even had these lovely interior photos of their new home.
Now that Jen and Vince have officially shacked up, maybe she'll be more secure about their relationship. She supposedly asked him to call off a movie project that would have him filming in England for three months, because she didn't want to be alone.

Life & Style Weekly claims that Vince Vaughn has tried to arrange a wedding date twice and that Aniston has backed out each time:
The magazine then brings in relationship expert Gilda Carle to give an opinion...
"When Jennifer told Vogue she’s ‘tired of being part of this sick, twisted Bermuda Triangle,’ it showed she’s still harboring strong feelings for Brad."
"It must be awful for Jennifer to see pictures everywhere of Brad with pregnant Angie and their adopted children," says Carle. "But she needs to give herself time to heal. She shouldn’t try to numb her pain by remarrying."
And she shouldn't try to air her pain by speaking to any more reporters, either. At least this article doesn't contain more than one Aniston quote. The girl says some stupid things when she rambles.
Regardless of whether she's backed out or not, Aniston has denied that's she in a race to the altar with her famous ex, or that she is planning a lavish wedding at Oprah's estate.
Here are Aniston and Vaughn arriving in Chicago to reshoot scenes from The Breakup. It's gonna suck...

So supposedly Angelina and Brad are fighting up a storm in Paris and Jennifer Aniston is gloating. None of these rumors require any facts to back them up, because they're pretty easy to make up given that we know practically everything about these people since they're hounded by photographers and reporters every day.
Star says that Brad misses the states and that he's fighting with Angelina over the wedding, which she says isn't happening. They also say Angelina is very passionate (that's a leap) and doesn't fight fair with Brad.
Meanwhile Jen is waiting for the couple to break up, which is also no surprise:
And the article goes on to quote The Bosh, which says that Aniston's trying to get pregnant with her bloated boyfriend, Vince Vaughn, but that she doesn't care if they get married first. God forbid she should try to give up cigarettes in a bid to increase her fertility.
We seriously doubt that anything dire is wrong with the Jolie-Pitts, and hope that Aniston's womb stays barren forever.
Here is Angelina shopping at a craft store and visiting a Yoga center in Paris with little Maddox yesterday. Note the sheer number of professional and amateur photographers following her. We sometimes think that A-listers make a pact with the devil. The money can't be worth it.

Like everyone else, we assumed that the Jolie-Pitts were flying back to the states when they were photographed three days ago at the airport. That's why we didn't publish these pictures of Brad flying in Nice when we came across them earlier today - we assumed they were old.
It turns out that the famous couple flew to the south of France and that the unexpected venue afforded the Jolie-Pitts a precious few days out of the spotlight. These photos are of Brad flying yesterday.
Speculation is rampant that bitter Jennifer Aniston may beat her ex to the altar, and that Oprah will host the wedding!
“She just wants to be Vince’s bride - today, tomorrow, next week. She’s told him to name the day. As long as that day comes soon, that is."
Life & Style Weekly cites a source that believes that Jen & Vince may be married before the release of their summer film opens.
And despite the sneaky way that Aniston got Oprah to endorse James Fry's lousy psuedo-memoir (to promote the hoped-for film, for which Aniston owns the movie rights), Oprah has agreed to host Aniston's wedding at her estate. Aniston reportedly wants a huge lavish affair to show the world how utterly petty and wasteful she can be. (She also probably can't have the thing at her house since it's overrun with rabbits.)
No matter what she does or who she attaches herself to, you can be sure that Aniston won't be happy.

Vince Vaughn has supposedly contacted Angelina Jolie's manager to let her know that he'll "keep the peace" in the war between the pregnant vixen and his girlfriend that takes place entirely in Aniston's head:
The reason - he wants Jennifer to be healthy.
The article [in Star] suggests that the "Wedding Crashers Star' understands that it can only be a good thing for his sweetie to finally put any bitterness she has left in the past.
You know that Aniston is obsessed with gorgeous Jolie and Vince is making a last-ditch effort to get her to calm the fuck down. Jolie thinks about Aniston about as much as she contemplates whether she gave a good performance in "Hackers."
Meanwhile Aniston is still harping on her pain.
Here are pictures of Aniston and Vaughn in Aspen yesterday. Vaughn needs to take some supplements because he's got that Eastern-European scurvy look. Maybe he can visit the same clinic that Paris goes to.
