It’s always interesting to me when a couple genuinely surprises the gossip world with their split announcement. Like, I was unsurprised by Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s split, because I had been paying attention to the gossip and the photos. I was also unsurprised by Chris Pratt and Anna Faris’s split, because of the same thing. But Channing and Jenna? They truly presented their marriage as something real. Sure, they had problems and growing pains but I think most people (myself included) had the impression that they were in it for the long haul. So while the tabloids were focused on Brangelina, JustJen and Bennifer 2.0, it turns out that Channing had moved out of the family home MONTHS ago.
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan just shared the news of their split on Monday, but the couple has been separated for months, multiple sources tell PEOPLE.
The Magic Mike star has moved out of the L.A. family home he shared with his wife of almost nine years and their daughter Everly, who will turn 5 in May.
“This has been a long time coming,” one insider says. “Like any marriage, they’ve had their ups and downs over the years but they really started to grow apart within the last year.”
It says something about both of them that they kept this information on lockdown for months. There were no rumors that Channing had moved out, no rumors that the state of their marriage had gotten THIS bad. So… do you think it was honestly just competing careers and her inability to deal with Channing’s A-list status? Or was something or someone else in the mix? I don’t know.
It’s probably too early to put either Channing or Jenna together with any of the other recently-single people out there. But I think Angelina Jolie + Channing Tatum would be amazing. Jenna with Brad Pitt? I don’t know. That would be good for Brad’s image, but I just can’t see her doing that. Jenna with Chris Pratt? I feel like she’s too liberal/hippie-ish to be with a meat-eating Republican.

One and done is what many coupes want. I just somehow got the vibe that they would have had more children as a couple of something wasn’t off with their relationship. That’s just my feeling about them, not every couple with one child.
Jenna has been out there hustling and trying to make her career work – having another baby would have put a serious crimp in that. She may just not want another baby.
My kids are 5 years apart (10 and 5) and we will be married 13 years this month, happy as can be. Sometimes spacing works out that way, and sometimes people are “one and done.”
Something weird is amiss I suspect. I think it’s a combo of her wanting the level of fame he has, but it’s just never going to happen, he has had a wondering eye and D for a long time and she has had diva antics and a nasty attitude on sets. I think she’s going to be shocked when she realizes her career will not do much more being single.
That’s ridiculous. Only a very tiny handful of women have had success that equals his. Showbiz has a very clear glass ceiling for women and I doubt Jenna was so naive at 36.
Also, this is the first I am hearing that she is a diva. I happen to know one of the actors (she’s actually a dancer) on Step Up which is a YouTube show Jenna EPs. They love her. She treated all the girls to a spa day and gave them advice on how to prepare for life after the dancing gigs dry up.
I remember reading so many blinds about them throughout the years. From Potato being gay to her just having a kid as a prop and potato being the actual parent to her. All I know is, I want a gambit movie sans Charming Potato.

Well we’re being lied to again! What is a gossiper to do??? Just like Jennifer and Justin who parted as besties, these two claim their undying love for each other, but we’re getting divorced! He’s been gone for months. This generation is making a mockery of marriage. Shack up and leave when you’re tired of each other. Seems that’s what they all do anyway.
Brad Pitt tends to take on the interests of his girlfriends. If he wanted to date Jenna Dewan, I feel he would have to take up…dancing. Like, er, real dancing.

Seriously, Pitt works a ton, has multiple other interests, has had alcohol/weed issues, has six children, and whose second divorce has lasted longer than the marriage! Aim, if not higher cause that’s hard to do, happier, Jenna 🙂
He was funny on the Thanksgiving episode of Friends! I don’t like serious Brad. I think the kids gave him some levity, but Angelina seems very stoic and serious about everything. Brad needs a fun girl for a while, lighten up the load. How did Pitt get on this site anyway!!??

It took me a while to get to Tater Lurve, then I recognized that, if you took his face apart, feature by feature, his features are attractive. Like, he has a great mouth. Nice nose. Tater is sort of a living Picasso painting . . .

I liked him a lot in White House Down…..especially when Jamie Foxx was on screen at the same time. They were fun together. In terms of pairings…..Channing and Chris Pratt together? I don’t have a someone for Jenna…..

@Chloee i saw magic mike 2 and i just don’t get it. i couldn’t get over channing’s face long enough to even notice any charm. i think i’m impervious to meathead dudes, i’m just not into dudes who spend that much time on their appearance. especially john cena, didn’t he say he shaves from the neck down EVERY DAY?? that’s a turn off. i don’t like vain dudes.
To be honest…Cena HAS to shave everyday for his job in wrestling….and I find Cena charming and personable in interviews….Tatum…has ALWAYS been a “meh”…his dancing isn’t impressive to me…and his acting? Well…

Agree. He’s lumpy, has close set eyes and big ears. But he does have his moments. I thought he was fantastic in Hail, Caesar! He had some classic old Hollywood moments in that movie.
Totally agree. He isn’t “attractive” in photos but in motion he is charming. He was great in Hail, Caesar and parts like that separate him from true meatheads!
Always seen him as a meathead. And as I wrote on the other thread, his body proportions are seriously off. She is a foot shorter than he is but their legs are the same length. Hers might even be longer! Do an image search for channing tatum jenna rehearsal to see what I mean.
I miss everything when it comes to this man. I was thinking of him Sunday night while watching Jesus Christ Superstar. My exact thought while watching amazingly talented, gorgeous, charismatic men – THIS is out there and men like Channing Tatum are the superstars?

They’ve been together for 12 yrs..since their 20s. Not a surprise that as they inch closer to 40, they became different people and wanted change.
For some reason, I can actually buy the “we grew apart” line from them. Most celeb couples I can’t but I can from them. That being said, I also wouldn’t be shocked to hear that one cheated or they couldn’t agree on another kid or something.

I’m saddened by this. Once again, I was fooled.
A far as couple swapping, show business at this level it is so insular that it seems to be a constant round of, “next semi- to well-known famous person, I’m done with this one!” I know that there is the occasional exception like Damon’s or Bale’s wives but they seem rare or maybe two celebrities are just covered more than one plus a regular partner is.
I bet the true insider gossip is amazing, like the stuff one knows about someone else via first thru third marriages, plus dating plus co-stars plus …etc. It is like they all must must have an unspoken pact for self-preservation and herd mentality protection. Someone should have told Tiffany Haddish, who didn’t aim very high with her target. Now if she had said Beyonce bit someone!!!!!! (Which I know Beyonce wouldn’t but you get my point).

If entertainment tonight has legit sources they seem to be trying to very nicely say he was a cheater and wanted to move on. A source tells them that Jenna was upset because Channing flirts with everyone in public & “she will blossom without him and he no longer has to pretend.”
They are trying to have a nice breakup but I think it has potential to get ugly. the statement (he obviously wrote)is saying they need time to themselves FOR NOW. Basically he wants to be with other women and maybe he’ll go back to Jenna later. Then again she does have a lot of pix with Derek Hough on her Instagram page so maybe she wants to “flirt”, too.
Angelina and Channing would not be amazing. Not. At. All. I see him dating young models. He probably already has a girlfriend.
